Position Overview:

SunVest’s Asset Management team is responsible for the asset management and operations & maintenance (O&M) functions of the business, with a primary focus on our AssetCo. The team proactively identifies operating issues to rapidly correct within the margins provided by the plan and seeks to optimize performance.

As the VP, Asset Management, you will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and work closely with other team members to establish the monthly, quarterly and annual operating plan for the asset management and O&M business and ensure the business meets the plan. Your expertise in asset management and O&M will be pivotal to SunVest’s ongoing success, contributing to our sustainable growth strategy and the development of strategic plans for managing and improving renewable energy generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Optimization:Establish the generation forecast, in partnership with Operations, to create the 2024 Plan for each of the assets in the SV Acquisitions portfolio. Track and report production actuals against the Plan and establish an ongoing forecast for the year and compare against Plan. Fully understand variances and proactively develop correction plans to meet performance objectives. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and optimize generation performance.
  • Financial Reporting:Establish the financial budget, in partnership with Finance and Operations, for each of the AssetCo projects. Track and report financial performance on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and establish an ongoing forecast for the year. Fully understand variances and proactively take steps to correct.
  • Compliance:Work with the Finance team (including both Project Finance and Accounting) to establish a cadence of required compliance obligations and prepare all materials to ensure 100% compliance.
  • Team Leadership and Culture: Cultivate a high-performance team to support delivering the requirements of the business function with scalability. Seek opportunities to continuously improve the productivity and operating margins of the business. Identify and seek new business opportunities through service excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar asset management.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a team.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, investment analysis, and portfolio management.
  • Strong understanding of technical solar asset management.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A deep passion for the renewable energy sector and a principled approach to fostering sustainable solutions.
