Who is SunVest and what do we do?

We offer a value added approach to design-build general contracting that combines our comprehensive understanding of the dynamic national incentive and financing climate with the detailed regulatory knowledge of local contractors. We take the necessary time to carefully screen local contractors to find those with the highest quality products and proven ability to perform as demonstrated through completed installations and third party certifications.

We then combine our subcontractors’ local field experience with our unique and thorough
understanding of the complex incentive and financing programs to offer our clients a broad range of programs specifically tailored to meet their needs while optimizing all aspects of the project.

We are not limited to any one subcontractor, product component, or financing method. This business model allows us to focus on the newest proven technologies, offer competitive pricing, and then ultimately build the optimal solar system. The solar market is a moving target with incentive programs that are in constant motion and projects routinely confront upfront financing barriers. We take on the responsibility of ensuring our projects not only produce sustainable energy for decades to come, but we also remove the financing hurdles and enable projects to be a reality from day one.

Mark Neumann

Mark started his first business in 1979 in the area of real estate sales. By 1986 that same company started building homes and grew to be one of the fastest growing businesses in America, building about 120 homes annually. In the 90s, Mark left the business world to serve in the United States House of Representatives from 1995-1999, elected to serve Wisconsin’s First District. After four successful years of service in US Congress, and with a balanced national budget, he returned to the business world with an increased knowledge of the many macroeconomic issues facing successful growth of American business.

Mark’s core philosophy in business is market driven environmental stewardship, which is
echoed throughout multiple entrepreneurial companies. After Congress, Mark started a
land development company whose motto was developing land in harmony with nature,
setting aside one acre of permanent open space for each acre that was developed. Mark
is also a co-founder and co-chairman on the board at Eagle Enterprises, Inc., a not for profit network of inner city schools with more than a thousand students in Wisconsin and Arizona.

Matt Neumann

Matt joined his father in business in 2004. Matt brought a revitalization and energy to their companies that led to building all new homes to Energy Star^TM and Green Built^TM standards. They are recognized as leaders in the green building industry in the State of Wisconsin, which ultimately led them to offer renewable energy on new homes, and then to the creation of SunVest Solar.

Mark and Matt’s businesses have been widely recognized both nationally and locally for their success over the years being named three times on the list of fastest growing companies in America by Inc. 500 Magazine including being specifically featured in 2005. They were also listed as a top performer by Entrepreneur Magazine’s Hot 100 and again featured in the Small Business Times Future 50.
